Getting Started

What is MCQIndia MHT CET?
A free practice site for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET), PCM and PCB groups: topic-wise quizzes, previous year papers with the official timing and marking, and a dashboard that shows where you are losing marks.
Do I need an account?
You can try a short practice quiz without one. Create a free account to attempt previous year papers, take longer quizzes and keep your scores and progress. Quizzes you took as a guest are saved to your account when you log in.

Taking Quizzes

How do practice quizzes work?
Pick a subject and, if you like, a topic, the number of questions and a time limit. Questions are drawn at random from the question bank. You can move between questions, mark them for review and change answers until you submit.
How is a quiz marked?
As in MHT CET: +1 for each correct answer, +2 in Mathematics, and no negative marking, so it is worth answering every question. You can switch on negative marking with your own marks if you want to practise more carefully.

Scores & Progress

Where can I see how I am doing?
Your dashboard shows recent quizzes, accuracy for each subject and the topics where you lose the most marks, with a link to practise each one.

Subjects & Difficulty

Which subjects are covered?
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and Zoology. A full PCM paper is Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; a full PCB paper is Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each question is tagged Easy, Medium or Difficult.

Previous Year Papers

What are Previous Year Papers (PYP)?
Questions from real MHT CET papers, organised year-wise and subject-wise, so you can practise actual exam questions with the official timing and marking.
Which papers can I attempt?
Each subject on its own: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and Zoology. You can also attempt a full paper: PCM full paper (150 questions in 180 minutes; Paper 1: Physics and Chemistry, then Paper 2: Mathematics), or PCB full paper (200 questions in 180 minutes; Paper 1: Physics and Chemistry, then Paper 2: Biology). A full paper runs on one timer.
How much time is given for each paper?
The official MHT CET timing. Physics: 50 questions in 45 minutes. Chemistry: 50 questions in 45 minutes. Mathematics: 50 questions in 90 minutes. Botany: 50 questions in 45 minutes. Zoology: 50 questions in 45 minutes.
How are previous year papers marked?
With the official MHT CET marking: +1 for each correct answer (+2 in Mathematics), no negative marking. All questions are compulsory and there are no optional sections. If you want stricter practice, you can switch on negative marking with your own marks before you start.
